Terms of service

Last updated 3 September 2026

The agreement between you and us. It is short, and written to be read rather than skimmed past — the parts about money and cancelling come first, because those are the parts you will want.

Who you are agreeing with

Constellation is operated by Qayum Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17432547, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. You can reach us at hello@constellation.careers. By creating an account you agree to these terms, and your agreement is with that company.

What the service does

You upload a CV. We extract what you can evidence from it, score real UK job adverts against that evidence, and — on the paid plan — rewrite your CV for a specific advert and keep track of your applications.

We are not a recruiter and not an employer. We do not submit applications for you. Every advert belongs to the job board or employer that published it, and applying takes you to them.

What it costs

  • Matching is free and unlimited. Uploading a CV, seeing scored matches with the gaps named, and following links out to apply cost nothing and always will for what is described here.
  • The paid plan adds a CV rewritten for each job, the Word document to send, and application tracking.
  • The price is shown before you pay and again on the checkout page. It is billed monthly in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel.
  • If the price changes, it will not change for you without at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Cancelling, and getting your money back

Cancel whenever you like, from your profile page. No email, no phone call, no retention offer. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again.

Within 14 days of your first payment, ask and we will refund it in full — whether or not you have used the paid features. We would rather you left than felt trapped, and at this price arguing about it would cost us both more than the subscription.

After that, a monthly subscription is not refunded part-way through a period, because you keep the access you paid for until it ends. If something has gone genuinely wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out than stand on this paragraph.

What we do not promise

We cannot get you a job, and we do not claim to. Nothing here is a promise of an interview, an offer, or a reply. Whether an employer responds is entirely outside our control.

Check the tailored CV before you send it. It is written by a language model working from the facts extracted from your own CV. It is built not to invent things you did not do, but it can still get emphasis, wording or dates wrong. It goes out over your name, so read it first — you are responsible for what you send.

Job adverts come from third-party boards and we do not verify them. We cannot promise a listing is current, accurate, or that the employer is who they claim to be. Treat an advert here as you would on any job board, and be as sceptical about requests for money or personal information as you would anywhere else.

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, and we may change how it works as we improve it.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 and able to enter a contract.
  • The information you give us must be your own and accurate. Do not upload someone else’s CV.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
  • One account per person. The service is for your own job search, not for running searches on other people’s behalf.

Things you must not do

  • Scrape, resell or republish job listings, or use the service to build a competing dataset.
  • Try to get at other people’s data, or at parts of the system you have not been given access to.
  • Automate requests, or work around the limits that keep the service affordable to run.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload.

Your CV stays yours

You keep every right in the CV you upload and in the tailored versions we produce from it. You give us permission to process it only to run the service for you — to extract facts, score adverts, and write tailored versions. That permission ends when you delete your account.

We do not use your CV to train models, and we do not sell it. What we do with it is set out in full in our privacy notice.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes your data immediately and permanently. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

If something goes wrong

We are responsible to you for loss we cause by breaking this agreement or by failing to use reasonable care and skill, where that loss is a foreseeable result of what we did. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for a job you did not get.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. You have legal rights as a consumer that these terms cannot take away — if anything here conflicts with them, your legal rights win.

Where we are liable, and the law allows a limit, that limit is the total you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you are free to cancel rather than accept it. Minor corrections take effect when published, and the date at the top of this page always tells you when it last changed.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.

Last updated 3 September 2026. If we change anything that affects you materially, we will tell you by email before it takes effect rather than quietly editing this page.
